D & L one of just 11 in Illinois named by Forbes to list of most recommended tax firms

Forbes Magazine recently unveiled its inaugural list of America’s Top Recommended Tax & Accounting Firms.  Dugan & Lopatka CPA’s and our tax professionals are honored to be one of just 11 Illinois CPA firms named.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to create the list of the most recommended firms for tax and accounting services in the U.S.  The firms identified include the biggest firms in the country and also some of the smallest.  Most firms listed are full-service – offering both tax and accounting services.

To create the list, Statista considered 1,800 survey responses from CPAs, enrolled agents, tax lawyers, accountants and CFOs submitted in the fall of 2019.  Survey participants who worked for a tax or accounting firm could name firms for tax and firms for accounting that they would recommend if their company were not able to take on a client.  Survey participants who worked in a company on the client side were asked to name firms each in tax and accounting that they would recommend based on their professional experience during the last three years.  The firms that received the most recommendations were included on the list.  Self-recommendations were not considered.

Of the final list of 227 firms, just 11 from Illinois, including Dugan & Lopatka, were named.  There was no nomination process and participants did not know that the survey had any affiliation with Forbes or any of the firms on the list.  Each of the firms on the list was also vetted by Forbes’ Research Department.
